These Terms set out the deal between you and the person who runs Shorturlfy: what you may and may not do with the Service, what we promise, and what happens when something goes wrong. They are written to be read, not to be skimmed past — please do read them.

Who You Are Contracting With
- –Shorturlfy (the "Service") is operated by Gyanendra Singh, an individual sole proprietor based in India. There is no incorporated company behind the Service. These Terms are an agreement between you and Gyanendra Singh personally.

- –By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
- –We may update these Terms. We will post changes on this page and update the effective date. If a change materially affects your rights, we will notify account holders by email at least 30 days before it takes effect. Continuing to use the Service after that means you accept the change.

Eligibility & Your Account
- –You must be at least 18 years old to hold a Shorturlfy account. Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, anyone under 18 is a child, and we do not knowingly provide the Service to children without verifiable parental consent.
- –You are responsible for everything done through your account and for keeping your credentials secure. Tell us immediately at security@shorturlfy.com if you believe someone else has access.
- –API keys are shown to you once, at creation. Treat a key like a password: anyone holding it can act as you. You may hold up to 10 keys at a time, and you can revoke any of them from your dashboard.
- –You may not share, sell, or transfer your account to anyone else.

Plans & Limits
- –Free accounts may create up to 50 short links per calendar month. Links created without an account are limited to 5 per day from a given IP address.
- –Pro accounts have no monthly link limit, and can shorten up to 100 URLs in a single bulk request.
- –We may change these limits. If we reduce a limit that applies to you, we will tell you before it takes effect.
- –We may apply rate limits and other technical protections to keep the Service available for everyone. Attempting to work around them — including by using multiple accounts or IP addresses to exceed a limit — is a breach of these Terms.

Payment
- –The Service is currently offered free of charge. Paid plans are arranged directly by email and activated manually by us; there is no automatic billing, subscription, or card payment in the Service today.
- –We do not collect or store card, bank, or other payment details anywhere in the Service.
- –If we introduce automated billing, we will publish payment, renewal, cancellation, and refund terms before charging anyone, and we will not charge an existing account without its holder's express consent.

Your Content & What You May Not Do
- –You keep all rights in the URLs and content you submit. You grant us only the limited permission needed to store that content and operate the Service — for example, to resolve your short links and show you their analytics.
- –You are solely responsible for the destinations you point short links at, and you confirm you have the right to link to them.
- –You may not use the Service to create links to, or otherwise deal in, content that: is unlawful; infringes anyone's intellectual property, privacy, or publicity rights; is defamatory, obscene, or paedophilic; is invasive of another's privacy including bodily privacy; is insulting or harassing on the basis of gender; is racially or ethnically objectionable; encourages money laundering or gambling where unlawful; threatens the unity, integrity, defence, security or sovereignty of India, friendly relations with foreign States, or public order; or impersonates another person.
- –You may not use the Service to distribute malware, run phishing or other deceptive schemes, send spam or unsolicited bulk messages, or conceal the destination of a link in order to mislead the people who click it.
- –You may not scrape the Service, probe or attack its infrastructure, attempt to reverse engineer it, or use it in any way likely to disable, overburden, or impair it.
- –You may not use the Shorturlfy name, logo, or branding without our prior written permission.

Our Role, and Reporting Abuse
- –Shorturlfy is an intermediary under the Information Technology Act, 2000. We do not create, select, or endorse the destinations that users point short links at, and we do not monitor every link created.
- –That said, we do act on what we are told. If you believe a Shorturlfy link points to something unlawful or abusive, report it to abuse@shorturlfy.com with the full short link and a short description of the problem.
- –We may disable a short link, suspend an account, or remove content where we reasonably believe these Terms have been breached, where we are required to by law, or on receipt of a valid order from a court or authorised government agency. Where a link presents an immediate risk to people — malware or phishing, for example — we will act first and explain afterwards.
- –Repeated or serious breaches will result in permanent suspension. We may retain records of a suspended account as required by law.
- –If you believe we have disabled something in error, write to our Grievance Officer at grievance@shorturlfy.com using the process in the last section.

Availability & Disclaimers
- –The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent the law allows.
- –We do not promise that the Service will be uninterrupted, timely, error-free, or free of harmful components, and we offer no service level agreement. We run on third-party infrastructure and depend on it.
- –We are not responsible for the content, safety, accuracy, or practices of any external website a short link points to. Following a short link is at your own risk.
- –Short links may stop working — because their owner deleted them, because an expiry date or click limit was reached, or because we disabled them under these Terms. Do not rely on a short link where its failure would cause you loss.
- –We may change, suspend, or discontinue the Service. If we discontinue it entirely, we will give account holders reasonable notice and a chance to export their links where we practically can.

Limitation of Liability
- –To the fullest extent permitted by law, Gyanendra Singh shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, business, or goodwill, arising out of or connected with your use of the Service.
- –Our total aggregate liability for all claims arising out of or connected with the Service is limited to the greater of: the total amount you have paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or INR 5,000.
- –Because the Service is currently free of charge, you should read that cap as INR 5,000 for most users. We state a floor rather than zero so the limit remains meaningful and enforceable.
- –Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

Indemnity
- –You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Gyanendra Singh against claims, damages, losses, and reasonable legal costs arising from your use of the Service in breach of these Terms or of any applicable law, or from the content you link to.
- –We will tell you promptly about any claim we seek indemnity for, and will not settle it without consulting you.

Termination
- –You may stop using the Service at any time. To delete your account and its data, go to Settings and choose Delete account — this takes effect immediately and cannot be undone. You can also email privacy@shorturlfy.com from the address on your account and we will complete it within 30 days.
- –We may suspend or terminate your account for breach of these Terms, or if required by law. Except where a breach is serious or urgent, we will give you notice and, where appropriate, a chance to fix the problem.
- –When an account is terminated, its short links stop resolving and its data is deleted as described in our Privacy Policy. Sections that by their nature should survive — intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnity, and governing law — continue to apply.

Governing Law & Disputes
- –These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict of law principles.
- –The courts at Noida, India have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms or the Service.
- –Before starting proceedings, please write to us at legal@shorturlfy.com and give us 30 days to resolve the matter. Most problems are quicker to fix by email than by litigation.
- –If any provision of these Terms is held unenforceable, the rest remains in force and the unenforceable provision is applied to the maximum extent permitted.
